Seller’s Checklist
Here are some small things that you could do that will make your property more inviting, comfortable, and make you as a seller look and be more professional:
THINGS SELLER CAN DO TO FACILITATE THE SALE OF A HOUSE
- Clean the interior and exterior of the house.
- Keep all flat surfaces cleared off. Use baskets to hold make-up, and toiletries and store them under the counter after use.
- Have all carpets professionally spot treated and cleaned. Keep vacuumed at all times.
- Replace all A/C filters throughout the house.
- Replace any worn vinyl in the kitchen and dining areas and clean and wax all other vinyl surfaces.
- Place a peach fragrance Glade Plug-in in each room.
- Keep the lawn cut and edged. Remove all weeds, fertilize, water and encourage growth.
- Be sure the doorbell works and has a pleasant chime.
- Completely clean out the garage, make room for two cars; clean up any work bench or shop areas and only store things in neatly stacked boxes.
- Minimize the amount of furniture in each room and allow for unobstructed vision to all corner areas.

- Keep home smelling refreshing
- Keep lights on (especially weekends)
- Be out of the house during open house
- Have Form 17 (form that informs of all problems of the home) for potential buyers
